Kolej Komuniti is a public educational institution which is under supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (formerly under the Ministry of Education Malaysia). Was approved in a Cabinet meeting on 5 July 2000 and merged with the Department of Polytechnic College Community Education sector. On 15 September 2009, Kolej Komuniti Education sector has been separated from the Department of Polytechnic and Kolej Komuniti and the Department of Kolej Komunitis. In the early Kolej Komuniti has offered a total of 23 courses in 42 skills and 21 campus campuses across the country. Since its inception, the Kolej Komuniti has issued a total of 25.767 and 361.349 full-time students than part-time students with various skills.
Kolej Komuniti Ledang has been operating on April 1, 2002 at its temporary campus of the Technical School in Muar and Johore Kolej Komuniti Ledang now has a permanent presence in which is located at Payamas Tangkak on October 5, 2004. These colleges offer education certificate in Light Vehicle Service, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Service, Pastry, Clerical Accounts and Business Operations and Training Program 1 Malaysia (short course) with a variety of interesting courses. Has a total of 76 employees consisting of administrative and academic staff. Kolej Komuniti Ledang building was officially opened by His Majesty the late Sultan Iskandar Sultan Ibrahim, Sultan, and may the dependencies of the State of Johor and publisher on August 8, 2010 equal to 27 Shaban 1431H.
The Community Colleges Ledang target, then the increase in institutions which are responsible to educate post-secondary students with an interest in the field based skills. In addition to the training of post-SPM students, community colleges also provide opportunities for local people to increase their skills and knowledge in the field based on the skills and knowledge current.
Kolej Komuniti Ledang was established to meet social needs and manpower requirements in line with government policy to produce more skilled workers. For local people, the college serves to give them exposure to short courses offered. Community college graduates have the opportunity to fill manpower needs in the fields of industry-related skills or open their own business.
