Polis Diraja Malaysia consists of 102.037 officers and members. Membership reflects the diversity of assignments carried out by the police, from the general to carry out traditional policing and is contiguous with the people, right up to the General Operations Force duties on non-regulatory “as prevention influx of illegal immigrants and the rise of the war against terrorism communist times.
In carrying out the trust and responsibility which rests with the people, the police assisted by a support group consisting of Auxiliary Police, Volunteer Police, Police Auxiliary, Police Cadets and civil servants. This group plays an important role in determining the safety and well being.
History of policing in Malaysia started with termaktubnya Charter of Justice in Penang in 1807. Nevertheless, the role of policing has been started since the beginning, namely the Malay sultanate in which the existence of laws and enforcement of the law. Law existing at the time was more focused on customary law or Sharia law, while the enforcement practiced by both a and the warlord.
Police are now inviting qualified people to fill the following position:
1. Inspektor (Lelaki/Wanita)
2. Sarjan (Lelaki/Wanita)
3. Konstabel (Lelaki/Wanita)
4. Konstabel Sokongan (Lelaki/Wanita)
Description of Duties:
- Carry out policing duties in accordance with the functions of the Department of Management, Criminal Investigation Department, the Department of Homeland Security and Public Order, Logistics Department, Narcotics Crime Investigation Department, Special Branch, and the Commercial Crimes Investigation Department.
- Among those duties is to administer, plan crime prevention, investigation, arrest and prosecute, regulate traffic control, intelligence gathering, providing equipment and communications, maintain public safety on land, sea and air to create an environment of peace and tranquility among the people and country .
